Meet Our Team


Kim grew up in rural Swaziland & after completing his MSc in Conservation & Ecology spent 7 years working on various conservation & community development programs in Swaziland, before starting All Out Africa in 2004. He is the Managing Director of All Out Africa & his professional interest is in developing sustainable entreprenurial solutions for conservation & community development in Africa. Kim has personal interests in family, sport, wildlife, travel & people.


An environmental tourism practitioner from Swaziland with interests in responsible travel, tours and expeditions, community development, conservation, program management and entrepreneurial development.


A Professor of zoology from Swaziland with interests in ecology, vertebrate field biology, biodiversity surveys, bat systematics, conservation and education.


Has been working for 7 seven years as an accountant and has a strong interest in all things business.


A field work practitioner with interests in vertebrate field research, conservation, tourism guiding and volunteer involvement.


Marie is a conservationist from Denmark and is currently doing a masters in biology. She joined All Out as a volunteer before becoming a member of the team. Before joining All Out she has worked with small mammals in Borneo, studied the ecological impact of weaver ants in Senegal and has had various experiences with conservation projects in Africa


A tourism practitioner from Swaziland with interests in backpacker travel, tours and expeditions, wildlife guiding, cultural guiding and community development.


Shelby's passion for the South African people, culture and country started long ago. She returned to South Africa to share her passion for health, community development, Fairtrade and education. Shelby has a long history of working for not for profit organisations around the world in India, Mexico and HIV/AIDS prevention in South Africa. All this experience has brought her to All Out Africa where she hopes to share her love for change with volunteers who visit Cape Town.


Dr Simon Pierce is a marine biologist working in Mozambique since 2005 whose professisonal interests revolve around the population ecology and conservation biology of sharks and rays. He is also lead whale shark scientist for the Foundation For the Protection of Marine Megafauna and is Executive Director of Eyes on the Horizon.


Messias is a native Mozambican with experience in the hospitatlity field.


A peer educator with 4 years experience working in the tourism industry for community development.


Michael Mkhonta is originally from Swaziland. He is working for All Out Africa as a builder with 15 years experience in the private sector. Michael also enjoys teaching Siswati in the afternoons to interested volunteers and backpackers.


Philile is the lodge manager at Lidwala Backpacker Lodge. She has worked and lived overseas for 3 years where she first developed her interests in travel, diverse cultures and people.


Sarah is from the USA and has completed her masters in business administration and has previous work experience in both education and healthcare. Sarah came to Swaziland to purse her interest in both travel and social responsibility.


A tourism practitioner from Swaziland with interest in travel,tours expedition as well as tourism management.


Katie is a zoologist with an honours degree in zoology from Trinity College Dublin. She has worked on tropical butterfly assemblages in indonesia, habitat mapping of the irish sea and designation of lakes for conservation in Ireland. She has a masters in medical genetics and an interest in the reliable use of volunteer data collection for scientific research.


Having moved to Swaziland from Canada with a CS and Anthropology Degree, All Out seemed like the ideal place to be. Resident IT guru, Benoit does any modification to the website as needed and any other design work that the organization requires.


Sidumo Lukhele is a born Swazi, who has a passion for youth work. He has worked for various organizations; Manzini Youth Care's street kids program and AMICAALL Manzini as a social centre supervisor before joining All Out Africa's social projects in 2011.


Menzi is a native Swazi. He joined the Peole Educational Theater where he got experience in sports, theater and clowning. He's been with All Out since early 2011 where he engages the volunteers and community in sports.


Mkhululi is a native Swazi. He's been work as a sports volunteer at OlympAfrica where his main responsibilities are to promote young talent and helping youth develop their abilities in sports. He's been volunteering with All Out for some time and we are excited that he has now officially joined the team.


Nokuthula has worked for All Out Africa since June 2008 and oversees the Foundation and manages the funds for Swaziland, Botswana, South Africa and Mozambique and she is also the head of sponsorship programme in Swaziland. She is inspired by her love for children and local communities.
