My experience in South Africa has been unforgettable. It was hard in the beginning  but it became easy to warm up to the people of this country. I'ts something I'll carry with me for the rest of my life.

Dr Andrea Marshall is a marine biologist working in Mozambique since 2003 whose scientific interests are in the conservation and application of non-intrusive methodology to study threatened species of marine megafauna with a particular interest in manta rays. She is founder and director of the Foundation For the Protection of Marine Megafauna.

The marine conservation project in Mozambique has had a super exciting quarter. In addition to our year round work with fish, reefs, turtles, and whale sharks we have now moved into the Humpback Whale monitoring season.
